I had no idea you worked with Shaun Ryder, that's insane. Did that inspire the vocals on the House of Haunted Hebrews verses, cause that's the first thing I thought of when I heard it - Bummed era Happy Mondays!

a few tracks on latest album. recorded almost 14 yrs ago!

OK I just listened to the album in full - the last minute of Popstar's Daughters left me with a massive grin. Would love to know how that came about. And did you play bass on it?

that song has a sample of my song "getting high in the morning" running thru the choruses. "mumbo jumbo features me on guitar on and beatbox mouth drums. "turn off the air" is pretty much me playing everything, other than vocals

Can you send me the album

ARIEL PINK's avatar

I've had I'll Be Around on repeat for a while and for some reason every time it hits the 44 second mark I think my laundry cycle has finished.

Absolutely stellar track by the way. You really know how to pull off a cover of an untouchable classic.

This flow defies musical physics. It is not linear. It has time, of course, perfect time. But, it is not in anyway stationary. Somehow the sounds fill themselves by the forthcoming sounds, pulling and pushing like yin and yang. Like a crossroads that somehow flows back into itself, and then out again. A musical fountain perhaps. It's incredible work. Breathtaking. Uplifting and exotic, even erotic. This is what music is supposed to be like.

Ariel. Bro. Crazy Bitches is seriously one of the coolest songs I’ve heard in a long time. That is such an amazing track. I am completely blown away right now. I’ve been listening to it over and over for the past half hour. WOW

Are you working with Yachty?

I often think about what a Rosenberg and Teezo Touchdown song would sound like

Hey Ariel this is awesome and I love it. Are you or have you ever been a gamer?

Honestly can't believe this came out in 2023. A few songs really stuck with me at first but after listening to the whole album a few times I love all of them. Hope you're doing well and officially post this album somewhere👍

i mean its all just works in progress. nothing "came out".

Out of curiosity, are these works in progress building up to an album release? I saw your Twitter post about your next album being an "exorcism" 👍

Leave the poor boy alone. Let him drop some crispy tunes for us willing to pay for the exclusives.

1,3,4,5,7,10 are top tier and irresistible. Great cover (enjoying the covers more than I thought I would!) and still a great otherworldly sound production.

Hey Ariel, how do you feel about Parliament Funkadelic? You have any inspiration from those guys? I think it would be a sick collab with you and Clinton. That would be a wet dream for me lol. You have a lot of funk elements in your music

ARIEL PINK's avatar

yeah love that shit

Josh's avatar

Hell yeah. Best band of all time collectively I think. Everyone was a master musician.

What is the 3rd track called? I love it 😍

Track 5 is gorgeous. I love how it starts out murky, and quickly turns into a feel good 80's era movie anthem. Straight up wizardly!

Hey Ariel, I just bought 3 vinyls from your store. Two of which I asked for an autographed copy, can you give me a personalized signature? My name is Josh and I ordered oddities sodomies volumes 1 & 3 and scared famous/ff>>. I’m never reselling that shit. I would like a cool message if that’s at all possible. If not no biggie. You’re just my favorite musician of all time. 😩😭

The last three seconds of track nine could be a whole song in and of itself
